Welcome to Mr. Westenskow's Ceramics and Art Classes
Whether you are a new student from another school or a transfer student within Mt. Logan Middle School, welcome I'm happy to have you in my class.
I want you to enjoy and be successful in class so there are a few things that you'll need to do to get a foundation and begin to get up to speed with the class:

- Go to your class web page on this site: Ceramics or Visual Arts.
- Go to the "Disclosure Statement" link and read the statement with your parents/guardians and fill in the form at the end and press the submit button. This is a mandatory assignment worth 100 points.
- Complete and turn in the "Opening Questionnaire" . You may get a copy from Mr. W. or print a copy from website.
- On your first day in class you'll receive a sketchbook.
-Print your name on the cover with a Sharpie marker
-Get a "Sketchbook Self-Assessment" sheet from Mr. W.
-Get a "Doodle Template" from Mr. W.
-Mr. W. or a classmate will show you how to set up each page in your sketchbook before you use it.
Your first sketchbook assignment is to draw a picture of your own left hand (right hand if you're a southpaw) in your sketchbook. The drawing is to be your very best effort. It should be life-sized and as accurate and detailed as possible. The reason is It helps Mr. Westenskow see where your skill level is and establishes a point to grade from for the rest of the trimester ( you are not graded against anyone else but you are expected to make progress during the term.
